RIBA/ICE BURSARY
Set up in 2004 between the practice, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the bursary aims to support architectural and engineering students, graduates and newly qualified architects and engineers committed to the progress of environmental and community issues in the UK or abroad. In 2010, the Whitbybird Foundation joined John McAslan + Partners (JMP) in committing £50,000 each over the next five years.

Up to £15,000 is provided to support an individual or a team. Recipients are expected to contribute 25% of total project costs – either through in-kind sponsorship or direct grants from other organisations or group fund raising. Awards for 2011 have been made, but further details about eligibility for future Bursary applications are contained within the application form, which is available from the RIBA website.

Candidates considering applying for the 2012 Bursary should register their interest via the RIBA Education team.
