The Surgeons' Hall Museums

Founded in 1505, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the world. The practice has recently completed the Lister Project at the Grade A listed Surgeons' Hall Museums. Surgeons' Hall in Nicolson Street is a prominent building within the Edinburgh World Heritage Site, designed by William Playfair in 1832. The completed project now improves physical and intellectual access as well as conservation and training. A new glazed link block with lift and stairs has created a distinct visual identity, improving orientation within the Museum. The new link block also provides level access, making the building accessible to all.
