Hannah Lawson
Hannah joined John McAslan + Partners in 2001, and was appointed as a director in 2005. She is leader of JMP’s Culture and Education Unit, concentrating on designing architecture with end-user clients, where highly detailed consultation is an essential part of the creative process.
As Head of Initiatives, Hannah plays a pivotal role in the practice's pro bono and not-for-profit initiatives and has a particular interest in sustainability and environmentally responsive design. One recent exemplar project led by her was the design of schools in Malawi. Her team recently completed a second project for the internationally renowned Royal Academy of Music, and an Academy for the RSA.
As well as education projects, Hannah is currently overseeing design for a cultural centre and mosque in the Middle East and a cathedral in Kenya.
