Matthew Burl
Matthew Burl joined John McAslan + Partners in 2000 to run the Manchester studio with Tony Skipper, having taken his Degree in Architectural Studies at the University of Sheffield. His first key role was as Project Architect Architect for the new Law Faculty at Manchester Metropolitan University, and he also led the £55m scheme for the University of Manchester Student Centre and Nursing Building, a mixed-use educational project.
 
Matthew has led, or contributed to, schemes across masterplanning, campus planning, cultural, educational and residential sectors in the north west, including a series of projects for Lancaster University, a masterplan for Manchester Science Park, private residential and student accommodation schemes in Manchester, and designs for an arts centre in Leigh.
