Michael joined John McAslan + Partners in 2006 with five years experience leading education and residential projects at one of New Zealand's pre-eminent practices. Since joining John McAslan + Partners, he has led a number of projects as a Senior Architect within the Commercial + Mixed-use Unit. Michael was appointed Associate in 2011.
Currently, he is leading on a new 5 star hotel and serviced accommodation located in Qatar that forms a key part of the Msheireb development (formerly Heart of Doha). The Mandarin Oriental hotel incorporates 170 guest rooms and 99 serviced apartments, a full spa, restaurant, conference facilities and primary retail space.
Michael was also heavily involved in JMP's redevelopment of the Stanislavsky Factory in Moscow, an award-winning scheme involving the conversion of a series of historic buildings into a mixed-use business and cultural complex with a significant new residential component.
