In 2004, JMP completed the phased refurbishment of the John Lewis Partnership’s flagship department store, Peter Jones.
This world renowned store, located on Sloane Square and consisting principally of its distinctive landmark Grade II* listed Modernist 1936 building, has been sensitively altered with dramatic new interiors and extensions as well as improved building services and operational facilities, without sacrificing its much loved and distinctive form. The project was completed in three phases between 2002 and 2004, retaining operational continuity throughout the works.
“Partners are clearly delighted and taking real pride in their ‘new’ shop. The real test is the customers, and we seem to have achieved precisely our objective of letting them feel immediately comfortable in a recognisable environment but one which also has the freshness to appeal to our future customers”
Sir Stuart Hampson, Chairman, John Lewis Partnership, June 2002
“The acclaim continues to come from all quarters - and most importantly, of course, from our customers”
Sir Stuart Hampson, Chairman, John Lewis Partnership, July 2005
