Senior Landscape Architect – London

John McAslan + Partners, an international design-led studio with a wide and interesting portfolio of projects in areas such as public realm, education, culture and transportation are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join the Landscape Studio in our London office.

We have a track record in developing award-winning projects across multiple sectors, and this is a particularly exciting time for candidates to be exposed to high profile international and UK-based projects that are at a range of stages in the design and delivery cycle. Candidates will be exposed to both UK and international work and must be able to commit to working on some projects in the Middle East where we have a growing portfolio of projects. The position is based in the London Office with potential for occasional travel.

We are interested in meeting candidates with most of the following:

•  A minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in the industry and CMLI Status (or equivalent experience/knowledge).
•  A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a pro-active approach to projects and relationship management
•  Capable of running projects independently with direction
•  Can clearly identify their own strengths and weaknesses in relation to design, technical and management skills.
•  Some experience in the preparation of bids and fee proposals an advantage
•  Previous exposure to contract, fee negotiations and project management
•  Excellent technical and organisational skills with a passion for high quality landscape design and delivery
•  Clear thinking with a fastidious attention to detail and projects in general
•  Good communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
•  Ability to collaborate, articulate ideas and communicate effectively both across the team and to the client
•  Able to represent the practice externally with confidence.
•  Comfortable and competent dealing directly with clients and project teams
•  Self-motivated with a passion for design and client satisfaction
•  An interest and experience in working on projects in the UK and internationally in a variety of sectors.
•  Preferably excellent skills in at least one 3D modelling software package (SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Rhino)
•  Experience in Microstation an advantage but not essential.
•  Excellent skills in the use of Adobe InDesign
•  Excellent graphic skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
