Pauline Nee joined JMP in 2008 and now leads the historic building team, bringing a wealth of experience from previous roles. She was promoted to Associate in March 2010.

Pauline has been heavily involved with the practice's not-for-profit project to restore and rebuild the historic Iron Market in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, which was destroyed by fire and earthquake.

Pauline was Borough Architect and Building Surveyor in Southwark from 1994-2005, leaving there to study Building Conservation at the Architectural Association, while gaining practical experience at the Tower of London.

Her early career, campaigning with community groups on urban design, housing and health issues, inspired Pauline to train as a building surveyor. Her ability to work creatively with all parties in developing design solutions comes from this early experience. Southwark Building Design Service, under Pauline’s leadership, won a variety of design awards as well as the inaugural RIBA/CABE London Authority of the year in 2002.

Pauline is currently working on the Grade 1 listed King's Cross Station as well as providing heritage input on many of the practice’s other projects.
