The design for 100 West Cromwell Road creates a new high-quality residential neighbourhood on a complex site within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Bounded by a rail line, it contains two adjoining multi-storey car-parks that serve a large supermarket, and must remain operational throughout construction.
Comprising seven new residential buildings set on a public landscaped podium, the scheme provides 462 new homes, including 35 per cent affordable housing, alongside commercial and retail space, a nursery and co-working facilities. A new public square forms the heart of the development, and makes a welcoming point of arrival.

Composition of the ensemble takes advantage of underused structural capacity in the existing buildings, allowing efficient use of materials in the new construction. Four buildings that are organised around a central amenity hub include a distinctive 29-storey tower, creating a clear vertical landmark within the wider townscape. Three further buildings provide affordable homes, all set within generous landscaped spaces. The scheme also introduces a new mews that wraps around the existing superstore and car park, stitching the development into its surroundings.
