At John McAslan + Partners, you’ll work within an internationally recognised, design-led practice that combines large-scale impact with an open and collaborative studio environment. We are committed to supporting professional development through mentoring, CPD and participation in studio initiatives focused on sustainability, inclusion and wellbeing.
We believe our people are our greatest asset. We foster an open, collaborative studio culture that values curiosity, creativity and shared design exploration. We are committed to supporting professional development and creating an environment where individuals can thrive and contribute meaningfully to exceptional design outcomes.

John McAslan + Partners is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our London studio, contributing to ambitious and carefully crafted interiors across transport and infrastructure, workplace, cultural and education projects.
We are looking for an experienced designer with clarity of vision, strong conceptual ability and a rigorous approach to delivery – someone who can translate narrative into space and lead projects from early design stages through to completion. This role suits a confident and collaborative creative thinker who understands how interior architecture can strengthen and enrich the wider architectural ambition of a project.
The role
You will lead interior design concepts across a range of complex projects, developing spatial strategies that respond thoughtfully to context, function and user experience. Working closely with architects, consultants and clients, you will oversee design development, material palettes, detailing, technical packages, specifications and FF&E documentation.
The role also includes mentoring junior team members, contributing to bids and supporting conversations that help shape future opportunities for the practice. You should be comfortable leading projects independently or working across multiple programmes simultaneously, balancing creative sensitivity with technical expertise.
What we’re looking for
Candidates should have at least five years’ experience within an architectural or multidisciplinary design practice, supported by a portfolio that demonstrates both strong conceptual thinking and realised built work.
You will bring excellent spatial planning and detailing skills, confidence working in Revit and associated design software, and a strong understanding of sustainability within the built environment. We value designers who are thoughtful, curious and rigorous in their approach, and who contribute positively to a collaborative studio culture.
How to apply
If you are interested in joining our team, please send your CV and portfolio to recruit@mcaslan.co.uk.
John McAslan + Partners is seeking qualified Architects to join our London studio, working on major transport and infrastructure projects within an internationally recognised, design-led practice.
Our portfolio spans transportation, culture, education and public realm projects across the UK and internationally. We are looking for experienced transport architects with a strong interest in complex civic and infrastructure-led design.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience in transport projects, or demonstrate comparable experience on large-scale, technically complex schemes. You will contribute to the design and technical development of projects as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, helping to coordinate design information and support project delivery across all stages.
We are seeking architects with strong organisational, communication and people skills, alongside a high level of design ability and graphic presentation. Experience with Rhino is essential; Revit experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided. The role may include opportunities for international travel and collaboration with overseas teams.
How to apply
Please submit your CV, a concise portfolio sample (maximum 5MB), and confirmation of your eligibility to work in the UK without restriction. Applications should be sent to recruit@mcaslan.co.uk with the reference 2501_S4P3 in the subject line.
