Olympia Park

Moscow, Russia. 2012

This mixed-use 6ha campus occupies the former site of Dynamo, once home to the Russian Sports Federation. Adjacent to one of Moscow's great transport arteries, Leningradskoye Shosse, the development of five-storey buildings provides flexible 18 x 54m office floors capable of accommodating a wide range of workplace configurations.

Olympia Park has attracted a portfolio of international tenants, including BMW’s Moscow Headquarters – testament to a considered philosophy that balances the needs of workplaces and modern business with those of the environment and local community. Alongside car-free landscaped public realm the development incorporates 7,500m² sports facilities for public use including an Olympic-sized swimming pool with 800 spectator seats.

Completed in 2012, the development for 01 Properties was John McAslan + Partners’ first project in the Russian Federation. The scheme is located within a landscaped public park on the banks of the Khimki Reservoir – one of the city's most important ecological and recreational landscape areas – and adheres to Moscow Government’s strategic requirements for permitted development within an area of natural beauty. 15,729m² of soft landscaping including over a hundred new trees and 4,655m² of shrubs ensures that parkland surrounding the development blends into the existing landscape.
