Senior Interior Designer

Senior Interior Designer

London Studio

John McAslan + Partners is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to help shape ambitious, carefully crafted interiors across Transport & Infrastructure, Commercial Workplace, Cultural and Education projects.
We are looking for a designer with clarity of vision and depth of experience – someone who can lead from first principles, translate narrative into space, and carry ideas through to beautifully resolved, technically rigorous delivery.
This is a role for a confident creative thinker who enjoys responsibility and understands how interior architecture can elevate the wider architectural ambition of a project.

____________

What You’ll Do

  • Lead interior concepts from brief to completion
  • Develop spatial strategies that respond to context, purpose and people
  • Craft material palettes and detailing with precision and intent
  • Guide and mentor junior designers
  • Collaborate closely with architects, consultants and clients
  • Oversee technical packages, specifications and FF&E documentation
  • Contribute to bids and conversations that shape future work

You will be comfortable leading complex projects or working across multiple programmes simultaneously, bringing both design sensitivity and technical authority.

____________

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in an architectural or multidisciplinary practice
  • A portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength and built delivery
  • Excellent spatial planning and detailing skills
  • Confidence working in Revit and related design software
  • A strong understanding of sustainability in the built environment
  • A collaborative mindset and a generous approach to teamwork

We value designers who are thoughtful, rigorous and curious – who take pride in their work and elevate those around them.
