Ryan Wazir

Ryan Wazir is an architect and urbanist whose approach to architectural practice is guided by a belief in the value of creating engaging and inclusive spaces for all.

Ryan brings to John McAslan and Partners team building and design leadership following his time working in both private practice and the public sector across new, adaptive re-use and conservation projects. Ryan has led and contributed to projects from the submission stage through to project delivery, working with varying typologies from civic, cultural, education and community projects with a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach.

Awarded a Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship from the NSW Architect's Registration Board, Ryan is researching contemporary mosque design across countries with diaspora communities, looking at the role architecture and urban design play in bringing communities together, while fostering a space for diversity and inclusion through the built environment.
